United we stand, in diversity we prevail.
The SPARTA Day took place on the CybertechEurope2019 event, in Rome, Italy.
The 24th September was marked by interesting discussions about SPARTA, the EU and the cybersecurity reality, starting with the panel on “European strategic autonomy through cybersecurity: challenges and opportunities for 2020” with Geoffroy Hermann, Monika Lanzenberger, Florent Kirchner and Fabio Corcullo and moderated by Raúl Orduna.
Florent Kirchner followed with an enthusiastic presentation titled: “Now’s the time for European cybersecurity: We are SPARTA”. SPARTA Day was also a celebration day. Why? SPARTA delivered a Cybersecurity Research & Innovation Roadmap on technical, emerging, and transversal challenges.
Thomas Jensen, SPARTA Roadmap co-editor, presented us this achievement with “From grassroots challenges to concrete vision, the SPARTA Roadmap”.But this was not the only reason for the celebration: SPARTA also delivered first concrete technical results which are publicly demonstrated in the CAPE Program focusing on assessment techniques and tools.
Hervé Debar, CAPE program leader, and Alessandro Armando, HAII-T Program Leader, presented and demonstrated “The CAPE Program: breaking new ground in key assessment techniques.”
Cybersecurity research Taxonomy and Mapping in Europe was also a topic addressed by Igor Nai Fovino, from the European Commission, Joint Research Center.
Finally, Fabio Martinelli, SPARTA Partnership Director, led the SPARTA workshop: Launch of the Associates Program and the Friends Porgramwhich is the third reason for celebration!
